U.S. citizenship
You must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9473 has chartered Troop 826 since 1996. We are grateful for the veterans and families who give our Scouts a place to gather, serve and grow. If you qualify, consider becoming part of their community.
The Post’s support connects Scouts with people whose lives demonstrate service, citizenship and care for their neighbors.
Troop 826 Scouts serve alongside the VFW through Memorial Day flags, breakfasts, flag retirements, Eagle Scout projects and community events. That relationship helps young people understand that leadership means showing up for others.
Membership is a chance to find fellowship with fellow veterans, support military families and help carry this spirit of service forward in Reynoldsburg.

VFW membership combines citizenship, honorable military service and qualifying foreign service. Post 9473 can help you review your records and confirm eligibility.
You must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
You must have served in the U.S. Armed Forces with an Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions) discharge, or be currently serving.
You must have qualifying service in a foreign war, campaign or expedition, verified through an authorized campaign or expeditionary award, qualifying military pay, or qualifying Korea service.
Ordinary overseas duty alone does not automatically establish eligibility. If you are unsure, ask the Post to help review your service.
Missing your service records? You can request them through the National Archives and National Personnel Records Center.
The VFW Auxiliary offers another way to support veterans, military families and the community.
People age 16 or older may qualify through a living or deceased veteran who is or was eligible for VFW membership. Qualifying relationships include a spouse or surviving spouse, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild or sibling.
Step and adopted relationships, as well as half-siblings, are recognized. Applicants must provide proof of the veteran’s qualifying service. Contact Post 9473 about its Auxiliary and the application process.
Share this page with a veteran or family member. A simple invitation can help someone find friendship, purpose and a place to continue serving.
This page is shared by Troop 826 in appreciation of our charter organization. Membership decisions, dues and applications are handled by the VFW and Auxiliary.
