Troop 826 is fortunate to have dedicated merit badge counselors within our own troop who are ready to work with our Scouts. For merit badges not covered by our internal counselors, you can easily find qualified counselors throughout the region using Scoutbook's merit badge counselor search feature.
Using Scoutbook to Find Merit Badge Counselors
All merit badge counselors listed in Scoutbook have been approved by council advancement personnel, ensuring they are qualified and willing to work with your Scout. Here's how to search:
Login to Scoutbook
Click on My Dashboard
Click on your unit in the lower right-hand corner
Scroll to MB Counselor List (third item from the bottom)
Select the badge your Scout wants to earn

Interested in becoming a merit badge counselor for Troop 826? Here are the requirements:
• Be a registered member of Troop 826
• Complete the mandatory online BSA Merit Badge Counselor training
• Register for specific merit badges you wish to counsel
If you complete these requirements and would like to serve as a merit badge counselor, please contact the Committee so we can update our troop records and make your expertise available to our Scouts.
